Grahovo

Grahovo, a small mountainous area with a dry karst field enclosed by high mountains: Delcevo, Liska, Bijelo Polje, Yastrebica, Kosmac, Božurje Brdo. The Grahovo field, along its watercourses, is the most important cultivated land in this excellent karst area. On the north side of Grahovo - under Grahovac, there is the Shevrluga, the headwaters of the Grochová Creek, and not far from it, under Kurlánský vrch, the Čelínský potok. These two mountain springs fill a part of the Grahovo field during a great rainfall and then disappear into the deep karst cavities.

In Grahovo, in addition to these two springs, there is the Demir Cave, which originates under Dervish Mountain, and the Saplápska River, which has several dozen mills. All these springs, despite the small damage they sometimes cause, are of great benefit to the inhabitants, and for everyone they are linked by some good folk tradition as vivid memories of the harsh days of Turkish slavery.
