Niagara Waterfall

City

One of the most beautiful waterfalls of Montenegro is located near Podgorica on the river Cijevna. This river originates on the border with Albania in the Proklete Mountains. When the snow melts on the peaks in spring, the river bed fills with water and its rapid streams flow along the endless vineyards, past the fertile fields and eventually flow into the Moraca River and Lake Skadar. Not far from the place where the river Cijevna merges with the Moraca, there is a picturesque waterfall, which the locals nicknamed Niagara, whether it was a joke or serious. Of course, its size is much more modest, but the resemblance is quite strong. It is as wide as its American namesake, and a lot of sideways flow next to the main waterfall.
